TWCP informing and supporting care homes . . .
The Wealth Care Partnership is holding its Spring Care Seminar on the 10 March this year and aims to provide valuable information to care home proprietors to help them plan for the future of the adult social care in the UK.
“Many cost burdens lie ahead for care homes in the next 18 months and it is imperative that access is given to the facts and possible solutions in order they may plan to meet the needs of the regulator as well as their residents” says Rene Kilner, one of our own Care Fees Specialists “we seek to inform and advise those providing care services as well as those in need of care and consider this an essential aspect of providing specialist support in this emotive area.
Delegates attending will hear from Adrian Simms of the Government sponsored National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) who will be addressing some of the myths about NEST and how it may integrate into the future of workplace pensions.
Rene will look at ways care homes can help their residents ‘cap’ the cost of care thus reducing the incidents of residents ‘running out of money’, avoiding distress and worry to the resident and their family and reducing the financial drain on the care home.
Morris Lane Chartered Accountants, one of the leading providers of services to the UK healthcare sector will be providing some top tax tips.
Age UK Somerset will be in attendance to inform how their Advice & Information Service and their Advocacy Service can help care home residents and their families.
“We seem destined to wait for Government action on Adult Social Care in the UK whilst in the meantime there are those with a care need now for whom this will be too late, it therefore falls to care providers, charities and allied professionals to work together to help and support and inform those with care needs” adds Rene.
The event is being held at the Sedgemoor Auction & Conference Centre just off Junction 24 of the M5 and is free to all care home proprietors and managers, for an invitation please contact vicky@twcp.co.uk.
