HAMPSHIRE BASED INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVISERS EXPANDS TO THE SOUTH WEST
A local firm, The Wealth Care Partnership, welcomes Ray Hanratty to join their expanding team of care fees planning experts. Ray is a fully qualified Long Term Care adviser who lives in Exeter, Devon. He has considerable experience and knowledge in helping clients and their families on how best to fund care fees and has been doing so for some 15 years. He joins Rene Kilner who commenced with the firm last year and is based in Taunton, to cover the South West of England. In his spare time Ray has a keen interest in powerboats and sailing . He is also Parelli Level 2 standard in natural horsemanship.
One of the partners, Karen Rayner, commented “We welcome Ray to our expanding team of advisers. We set up The Wealth Care Partnership to provide quality advice and guidance to the retired and the elderly. Our goal is to be the leaders in care fees advice, providing local specialist consultants throughout the Country. Ray joining us means we now cover from here down to Cornwall.” She added, “We have coverage of the North West of England with Brian Blake, who is based in Chester and has a wide area including North Wales and, of course, my business partner, Tim Anstee and I cover Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset.”
The funding of care for our Elderly has been at the top of the political agenda with Andy Burnham’s National Care Service offering. How to fund such a service has not yet been decided and with a General Election approaching, there is much uncertainty about how things will progress. In the meantime, anyone with assets over £23,000 in England will be expected to pay for their own long term care fees.
“Planning for retirement is common but planning for later life is rare.” Karen stated, “People feel totally alone in trying to find their way through the maze of legislation. We find that most people are confused about the options available to them if they or a relative needs care. We have a freephone number for anyone to call us if they need help and guidance and, of course, if we have someone in their area they can meet on a face to face basis too.”
