LATER LIFE ADVISER
Simon has years of experience in Financial Services dating back to 1989 and is based in our Launceston Office. Having held a variety of advisory and senior management roles he became independent in 1997.
He joined The Wealth Care Partnership in 2011 and has developed extensive knowledge in working with Care Fees, Investments, Inheritance Tax, Trustee Investments and Retirement Planning. He is an Equity Release Specialist and enjoys helping our clients release capital from their homes, resulting in a positive impact on their lives.
He has over 15 years’ experience working within the Care Fees Planning sector having previously worked within a specialist Care Fees department at a practice in Plymouth.
Having had four members of his own family needing to receive care in various settings, Simon has tremendous empathy for his clients, their families, powers of attorney and other professional advisers.
Simon has obtained the Diploma in Financial Planning, the Certificate in Equity Release and the specialist Care Fees Planning qualification. He is currently studying for the new Chartered Financial Planner status.
In 2009, he gained the prestigious Later Life Adviser (SOLLA) accreditation, one of only a very few advisers nationwide. He is one of only two advisers in Cornwall to have achieved this to date. He is also a member of the Society of Will Writers.
He is a regular contributor to local and national press articles and regularly gives talks to a variety of audiences on later life financial matters.
Simon enjoys football and cycling and is regularly seen every weekend all over the South West as part of the band Silverback.
